Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tonight 3 weeks of indecision is over. Just now the House and Senate passed a plan to temporarily fund the government and raise the country's borrowing limit. Lawmakers approved the measure just hours before the midnight deadline to raise the debt ceiling, keeping the U.S. economy from collapsing. The plan will fund the government through January 15 and increase borrowing authority through February. The measure passed the Senate first around 7pm local time with an overwhelming majority. Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) is getting a lot of the credit for getting both sides to agree. The President plans to sign the bill immediately, ending the stalemate.
