Nissan Plant in Smyrna Celebrates 10-Million Tennessee-Built Vehicle Mark

NASHVILLE, Tn.-- With the Nissan Rogue now being assembled in the state of Tennessee, Nissan has celebrated their 10-Million Tennessee-built vehicle mark. 


Nissan hopes to have 85 percent of products sold in the United States made in the United States. 


The company's presence in Smyrna spans three decades and boasts production of the Altima, Pathfinder, Xterra, Frontier and Sentra. The Smyrna plant reportedly employs more than 7,000 people with a payroll in excess of $275 million.


Susan Brennan, Nissan's VP or manufacturing in Smyrna stated "For more than 30 years, the Smyrna plant has been building high-quality vehicles, and today's milestone serves as further testament to the flexibility, efficiency and talent of our U.S. workforce."
