NASHVILLE, Tenn. - For most fans, it was another game day at LP Field. On the gridiron, ti was an emotional match up for tight end Delanie Walker. It was the first time he faced off against the 49ers since ending the season with the team at the Super Bowl in New Orleans on the night that changed his life. That February night, Walker's aunt and uncle were both killed by a drunk driver just hours after leaving the stadium to watch him play. Since then, he's joined forces with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and created a special bond with Phaedra Olsen. Olsen is now paralyzed after she was hit by a drunk driver 17 years ago. When she shares her story from the seat of her wheelchair, Olsen doesn't want football game day, and a few too many beers to turn into something more devastating than a home game loss.

Olsen is urging tailgaters to drink responsibly on game day and asking designated drivers sign a pledge to promise. A sobering reality that many folks needed to hear.
