EXCLUSIVE: Comic Legend Stan Lee Kicks Off Nashville Comic Con

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Right now, thousands of comic book fans are inside the Music City Center for the first Wizard World Comic Con in Nashville. Tonight's kickoff is as unique as all of these costumed characters. Wizard World CEO John Macaluso cut the ribbon in front of hundreds of Comic Con fans. Mayor Karl Dean was also on hand, beside the Fonz himself Henry Winkler, the Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno and of course comic book legend Stan Lee. Comic Con organizers say this is the first time Lee has given an interview to a local news station in Comic Con history. For those of you that don't know, Lee created Spiderman, Ironman, the X-men and many other iconic characters.

He's so well known in the comic world that even Mayor Dean was a little star struck. Lee says he's just happy to see the thousands of comic fans out in full force, and some in full costume, doing what they love in Music City.
