Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tn.-- 134 permits for Tennessee's first sandhill crane hunting season are still available on a first-come, first-serve basis today.

Those interested can go to one of the four Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency regional offices today. The offices are located in Jackson (Region 1), Nashville (Region 2), Crossville (Region 3) and Morristown (Region 4).

Each permit will allow for a three bird limit and participants must have a Type 001 hunting/fishing license plus a Type 005 waterfowl license or equivalent. Participants will also have to prove they can distinguish between a sandhill crane and other protected species through an online test. The season runs from November 28th until January 1st, 2014.
