BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Irrigation Ban Reinstated for Davidson Co Residents

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Customers in Davidson County affected by the broken pipe with Metro Water are being asked Friday morning to stop all irrigation immediately.

Crews will be in the affected area and will shut off irrigation if necessary.

The water system began recovering overnight with the assistance of temporary pumps. However, irrigation use is causing pressure to drop.

Their will be another update later this morning.

An exact timeline is unknown to repair a broken pipe in south Nashville that is interrupting water service to several pumping stations, but it could take several days. Areas affected include Green Hills, Forest Hills, Oak Hill and portions of Crieve Hall.
