NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man pedaled away on a bicycle after shooting a man in Donelson.

At around 3:30 a.m., a man was shot in the lower chest outside his home on the 2400 block of Maplecrest Drive by a man now on the run on a small dark bike. The victim reportedly caught the suspect breaking into his truck, supposedly looking for change, as he was on his way to work.

The victim, who has three children, is at the hospital in stable condition.

A search is underway for the suspect who is described as a white man, in his mid-to-late 30s, with dark long hair, 5'7"-5'8", scruffy, skinny and wearing a camo hat. The man is possibly homeless.

Anyone with information can call CrimeStoppers at 74-CRIME.
