Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Asheville, NC--

New this morning, a mother and her nine-year-old son are upset, saying his school won't let him bring his favorite bag to school.

Grayson says he's getting shoved and punched because people think is favorite show "My Little Pony" is just for girls.

He understands why people calls him names, saying most people think the show is girlie. But he says the show promotes friendship and non-violence.

The school told him to leave the pack at home because it was a trigger for bullying.

Noreen says "Saying a lunchbox is a trigger for bullying, is like saying a short skirt is a trigger for rape. It's flawed logic, it doesn't make any sense."

She wants kids who bullied her son punished. Grayson now has a following on facebook with a page to support him.

He and his mom don't think it's right to force him to leave the bag at home.
