Pastor's Prayer Controversy

Polk County, N.C.--

Sparking debate this morning, a North Carolina community is upset a pastor prayed at a county commissioners meeting.

The city invited Pastor Thomas Olson to prayer before the meeting, but it's what was in the prayer that has the community divided.
 
He discouraged against divorce, homosexuality, abortion and people living together before they're married.
 
Many say prayers should be kept out of the government.

Pastor Olson says since it was presidents' day, he only highlighted what our founding fathers believe.
   
The county's attorney is now reviewing policy on legislative prayers offered in the form of invocations at the beginning of the board of commissioners meeting.
