Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

Sparking debate this morning, more parents are pulling their kids out of traditional school. They believe the world is the best classroom for their kids to learn.

The concept is called "unschooling." Children lead the way, with no curriculum or tests and adults watch as kids decide exactly what they want to learn, and when.

The private program launched after many school leaders say students enter college just wanting to regurgitate facts on tests.

Kelly Limes-Taylor taught high school for 7 years, but even she thinks unschooling is a perfect fit for her four kids. She's optimistic that her five year-old will learn how to read, on her own.
