Paul Jones joined FOX 17 News in August of 2002. For the past 14+ years, he`s been busy covering the Titans and Predators plus the Vols and Vanderbilt and numerous other universities and high schools in and around Nashville. His sportscasts have been honored by his peers.
He`s a 5-time Emmy Award recipient, including wins for "Best Sportscast" in the Mid-South three times. He`s also won five Tennessee Associated Press Awards for "Best TV Sportscaster".
Paul works hard each day to bring FOX 17 Sports viewers stories they won`t see elsewhere. Before coming to Nashville, he worked worked in Indianapolis. Paul`s first on-air experience came in Lubbock, Texas. Prior to that, he spent seven years as a sports producer in Washington D.C. working with, and learning from, legendary sportscasters Glenn Brenner, Warner Wolf, and Frank Herzog. Ken Mease, Al Koken, and Todd Whitthorne also playing a key role in his development.
While attending college in Minnesota, Paul spent three years at WCCO working with Mark Rosen and his talented department.
Over the years, Paul has covered many teams. He always prefers good "people" stories.
