She anchors the 5:30pm weekday newscasts as well as breaking news coverage like the 2015 Antioch movie theatre shooting. You can catch her investigations and her Waste Watch reports, advocating for Middle Tennesseans, tracking government spending and holding elected officers accountable. She’s also live during Middle Tennessee's most extreme weather conditions, bringing Middle Tennessee viewers the information and help they need to keep safe and restore their lives.
Erika is one of the only media members to ever meet and tell the story of the world's longest-surviving Iron Lung patient, Dianne Odell. Among her exclusives, Erika has interviewed the death row inmate convicted of one of Nashville`s most notorious murders. She is also among a select few local reporters live in Spin Alley during the 2008 Presidential Debate at Belmont University. Erika is thrilled to be part of a team viewers turn to for news they count on, providing people the information they need on a day-to-day basis.
Erika is the winner of a 2016 EMMY Award for a Fox 17 show she co-wrote and hosted, giving a behind the scenes view of news stories from the perspective of Fox 17 photographers. She’s won several Associated Press Broadcasting Awards for Best Anchor, Best Reporting and Best Investigative Reporting. Erika is also known for being named as one of Nashville’s 25 Most Beautiful People by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine in 2013.
Erika came to Fox 17 News from WTVY in Alabama. She also interned at FOX News Channel's News Edge in Washington, D.C. and at KTVI in St. Louis, Missouri. Erika is a graduate of Malone University in Canton, Ohio.
