Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Matchup Notes:
---It's been nearly a year since these two teams last met, with the Colts narrowly edging the Titans 27-23. It took a late drive to tie the score and overtime to beat the Titans. This time around, the Titans have bolstered their team with new additions, while the Colts will be playing without Reggie Wayne. The Titans will be looking to put an end to the Colts' three game winning streak against them.
---The Colts rank 15th in the NFL for both passing and rushing offenses. The Titans defense ranks 8th against the pass and 21st against the rush this year. It's a good matchup for the defense given the key to the Colts success depends on Andrew Luck. Trent Richardson has been far from the addition expected when the team snatched him from the Browns, and no Reggie Wayne means Luck will rely on T.Y. Hilton heavily.
---The Colts rush defense ranks 26th in the league, allowing an average of 126 yards per game. The Titans' 13th ranked rushing attack average 111 yards rushing per game. A heavy dose of Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene could be in the cards tonight. The Titans are 25-9 when CJ2K rushes for more than 100 yards.
---Don't worry about Ryan Fitzpatrick. The quarterback tossed for 264 yards and two touchdowns last week and racked up three scores when he last faced the Colts in Buffalo. Shonn Greene also torched the Colts last year when he was playing for the Jets. Greene totaled 161 yards rushing against them.
---Alterraun Verner is tied for the league lead with five interceptions this season. This is a Titans defense allowing an average of 326 yards per game compared to the Colts' 367 yards allowed per game.
