It's been a long time coming for Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans, but both finally put it all together in a 28-21 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

The Titans broke a three game losing streak with the win, which puts them at .500 for the season. More importantly, they have their running game back to full health. Anyone who monitored this team during the preseason could see the dynamics of Johnson and Shonn Greene when on the field together. It was reminiscent of Lendale White and Johnson when the Titans boasted among the best running games in the league. Greene, who has been dealing with injury since Week 1, made his return to the playing field with a 38-yard, one touchdown performance.

While it wasn't the most explosive return, it was his presence and ability to help wear down the defense which aided Chris Johnson most. Johnson scored for the first time in 145 carries, notching his first 100-yard game of the year and a return to the CJ2K we are all used to watching. Johnson totaled 150 yards rushing, 20 receiving and two scores against the Rams on Sunday. This is what this team has been waiting for from Johnson, and it's no coincidence it came with the return of Greene.

The duo forces defenses to prepare for the run on any down, taking the burden off Jake Locker's shoulders. Locker is still working his way back to form after hip and knee injuries two weeks ago. While he failed to pass for a touchdown and tossed two interceptions, he was able to complete some key third down passes which led to points on the board. This was just a taste of what the Titans' offense is capable of, and if Locker can progress, this team will have a shot at winning the division. With two matchups left against the current division leader Indianapolis Colts, the Titans control their own destiny.
