Cheapest ways to get into Nashville Predators playoff games

(Fox 17 News)

Getting inside a Nashville Predators playoff game can be an expensive challenge, even for the fist game.

The Preds will host the Colorado Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m., but be in your seat at 8:15 p.m. to catch a special pregame show and score a free GOLD rally towel presented by FOX 17.

Fans who want to pay the price for playoff tickets say it's all worth it.

"You have no idea,” Preds fan Beverly Ayers said. "This is our year. We're winning the cup for sure."

Ayers said for her, the price is worth the three hour break from life.

”Nothing matters but those Preds winning that game," Ayers said. "It is so electric. It is so exciting. If you haven't come, you need to!”

The Predators organization wants fans to go to Ticketmaster or Ticketmaster Exchange and become a Smashville Verified Fan to get tickets. It's also the new and only way to snag one of 100 $15 tickets. These tickets are given out twice daily on game day at 10 am. CLICK HERE for more information.

OTHER WAYS TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS MORE AFFORDABLE

If want to try other methods of getting into Game 1 on Thursday night at the lowest price here's some other things to try.

StubHub has the cheapest seat in the house at about $150.00. The trick is to wait about an hour before the game and let the prices drop. Sellers become nervous and don't want to eat the cost ticket.

You can also try and buy from a licensed scalper outside the arena around face-off or during the first period. This is when prices are dramatically dropping.

“It gets exponentially more expensive with each round," fan Eric King said. "So if you're gonna get tickets you gotta start now, because it's only gonna get worse."

FREE WATCH PARTIES

If the prices are still too high, try joining the festivities at an official Preds watch party downtown.

Viewing parties for home games for Round 1 will be hosted at Music City Walk of Fame Park. Parties are free and open to the public starting three hours before the game. Fans can enjoy the game on a large video screen, DJs, food trucks, and beverages.
