Fox17, MyTV30 and CW58 have partnered with Ford Motor Company, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Westfield Insurance, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to help save the lives of teens. We proudly present the “Ford Driving Skills for Life contest”.

Middle Tennessee high schools will compete to create an effective teen safe driving awareness Public Service Announcement (PSA) to help promote teen safety and raise awareness on the dangers of driving today based on the Driving Skills for Life curriculum and other resources.

This campaign will intrigue the interest of students by giving them capacity to become positive influences and leaders on the ongoing efforts to prevent irresponsible driving. In addition, the winning PSA will be aired in the season finale of American Idol! This competition is a team-building exercise that fosters creativity and teamwork, while at the same time providing real life work experience to all involved.
