It was ladies night on American Idol. The top 12 ladies took the stage including Baylie Brown. She is a 22 year old Texas native that lives here in Nashville. Unfortunately it sounded as if nerves got the best of our local girl.
The judges didn't have the best things to say. Randy saying it seemed that she started pitchy and never gained control. J-Lo agreed that there were pitch problems, but add that she understands it was probably nerves.
Steven Tyler said he had certainly heard her sing better.
Our idol chat room agreed. Most said she had the weakest performance of the night.    
On the flip side, Skylar Laine from Mississippi got the most positive feedback from our chat room and the judges. The country girl sang "Stay With Me.
J-Lo said she sounded like "Tina Turn gone country" and Randy said she was a mix of Reba and Kellie Clarkson!American Idol Top 12 Ladies Perform
