Burned Body Found in Murfreesboro-Cindy Carter
Firefighters in Murfreesboro found a body inside a trash bin near Middle Tennessee University on Wednesday.
Firefighters were extinguishing a fire in the trash bin when the body was found.
Officials say the man's body was burned beyond recognition.
The trash container was at an apartment complex across a street from the MTSU campus.
Murfreesboro Police asked anyone who knew a white adult male with a T-shirt reading "The Pointe at Raiders Campus" to call them.
Authorities say there was no identification on the body and little evidence, other than a key.
Investigators say their top priority is identifying the victim.
