Body Found in Montgomery County is Missing Woman-Sky Arnold
The son of a murdered Montgomery County grandmother says he's always feared she was in an unsafe relationship.
"As far as him beating her, hew was into drugs and it was a bad situation altogether. Sometimes you don't know somebody until it's too late," said Timothy Brewer.
A deputy found Brewer's mother Tina Brewer dead in a shallow grave beside her Montgomery County home Wednesday night.
She was covered in plastic wrapping and a metal door.
Her boyfriend, Leroy Thompson has since been charged with killing her.
He was initially arrested in Nashville for driving without a license and then transported to the Montgomery County.
Brewer's family says Thompson physically abused her and they had long tried to get her to leave.
"We've done everything we could. We took her car, we threatened to take her house and everything but nothing worked," said Brewer.
Tina Brewer filed an order of protection against Thompson on Friday.
That order wasn't served until Sunday because authorities couldn't locate Thompson.
Sheriff Norman Lewis says his deputies had no reason to suspect he had violated that order until Tuesday.
"We had no knowledge he was back at the scene until we got the missing person report," said Sheriff Lewis.Body Found in Montgomery County is Missing Woman-Sky Arnold
