WBFF Fox 45 :: Brothers Arrested in South Nashville Drug Raid
Monday afternoon Metro Police raided a home on Keeley Drive in South Nashville in search of a pair of accused drug dealers.

Undercover detectives executed a search warrant at the South Nashville home after they were able to confirm powder cocaine was being sold in $40 increments from the back door. Seized during the search were 10.5 grams of cocaine, 89 grams of marijuana, 7 Xanax pills, 2 grams of mushrooms, 9 guns, $14,879 cash, $12,000 worth of electronics, 4 vehicles and 2 boats, according to a statement from police. Police say they seized the electronics, vehicles and boats under the presumption they were acquired through drug proceeds.

Ernie Stewart, 46, was the primary target of the investigation, said police. He is charged with felony marijuana and cocaine possession, gun possession in the commission of a dangerous felony and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Stewart is free on $21,000 bond.

Ernie’s younger brother, Stevie Stewart, 35, is charged with possession of mushrooms for resale, gun possession in the commission of a dangerous felony, marijuana possession and possession of unlawful gambling paperwork. He is also free on $12,500 bond. Brothers Arrested in South Nashville Drug Raid

Houston brother will be his own attorney in court
June 18, 2013 13:02 GMT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Roane County man will face federal gun violation charges next month without an attorney.

The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/17VlXpM ) reported Rocky Joe Houston will represent himself on a charge of possession of a gun by a felon.

The charge came after Houston earlier represented himself in state court on charges stemming from a police chase. He was convicted of evading arrest and reckless endangerment.

Houston and his brother, Leon Houston, were tried, but not convicted, in the 2006 shooting deaths of a Roane County deputy and his ride-along companion.

In federal court, Rocky Joe Houston is claiming the officer who charged him with the felony had no legal authority.
