A narcotics complaint led police to a Donelson Motel where they discovered a meth lab.
Evin Edwards, Jr., 31, was arrested Wednesday night at the Regency Inn on Murfreesboro Pike after he told police that "I got stuff to make meth in here," according to the affidavit obtained by FOX 17 News.
In the room, police found ingredients for making methamphetamine, including cold compress packages, salt, Coleman fuel, ground up pseudoephedrine, sulfuric acid and lithium batteries and syringes.
Since February of last year, Edwards, according to the police report, has made 24 separate attempts of purchasing pseudoephedrine over the allowable limit before being blocked from purchasing.
Edwards told police that he has a pending court case for trafficking meth in Hart County, Kentucky. He is being held on $42,000 bond in Davidson County Jail while awaiting trial.

Updated conservatorship statute effective July 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Bill Haslam has signed into law revisions to the state conservatorship statute.
The law allows the court to appoint a conservator to manage the assets of a person a judge finds unable to handle his or her own affairs.
State Rep. Andrew Farmer, a Sevierville Republican, told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1183hjy ) the intent of the bill he sponsored in the House is to make sure people aren't being taken advantage of.
The bill sprang from a series of hearings statewide by the Tennessee Bar Association. They revealed there were no uniform procedures for placing a person's assets under a conservator on an emergency basis.
The changes take effect July 1.
