WBFF Fox 45 :: US Postal Service will end Saturday mail delivery
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Postal cuts are on the way. Most of the mail you see delivered on Saturday will soon become a thing of the past. The U.S. Postal Service says you can expect the big changes this Summer. The Postal Service says it's losing money and adjusting its Saturday schedule will help to save $2 billion a year. The Postal Service says fewer people are buying stamps and sending First Class mail thanks to online bill payment. Some things like mail order prescriptions, express mail and packages will be delivered on Saturdays. Customers have mixed feelings about the change.

"I approve of it," says customer Tom King. "They should do something to get a balance in their budget so they don't lose money."

"To me, the government wastes enough money," says customer Ben Kooch. "There is no need to cut mail service. I'm in business. I need Saturday mail."

The post office will maintain Saturday business hours at its branch offices and P.O. Box customers will have mail delivered on Saturday. The new Saturday schedule goes into effect in August.US Postal Service will end Saturday mail delivery

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.

WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.

TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.

Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
