WBFF Fox 45 :: Street Naming Honors Popular Nashville Radio Host
The late Curtis "Scooby" Senior was honored today with a special ceremony that recognized his work in the community as a prominent Nashville figure. Scooby was part of the Dolewite and Scooby show on Nashville hip-hop station 101-point-one The Beat. He passed away last February and the community rallied to have the influential figure recognized. His former co-host is proud that Scooby was honored in this way.

"Absolutely incredible. Seeing the street has made me really emotional, that we're able to touch enough people to have a street named after him. It's incredible. It's amazing. It means everything," said James “Dolewite” Raymer.

Dolewite and Scooby was the longest-running show on The Beat. Curtis "Scooby" Senior Lane is a section of 14th Avenue North between Jefferson and Scovel Street.

Former Dyer County constable sentenced to prison
May 23, 2013 12:50 GMT

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) -- Former Dyer County Constable Derick Shane Hundley has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.

The State Gazette (http://bit.ly/14UHydd ) reported Hundley was sentenced Monday after earlier entering a guilty plea to enticement of a minor through electronic means. The government dropped a child pornography count.

Prosecutors said Hundley, who is 30, used a cellphone to try to entice a minor female to have sex with him. Police arrested Hundley last July and found an external hard drive that contained numerous images of minors involved in sex. He resigned from the constable post he had won in 2010 after his arrest.
