Mt. Juliet Police have made an arrest, putting an end to a multistate counterfeiting and theft operation that has plagued the southeast for weeks.
Investigators acted on a tip of a possible theft that was scheduled to occur sometime that day by an individual using a counterfeit check at Trigreen equipment on Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet, according to police. Mt. Juliet Police, were able to gather intelligence from authorities in Arkansas on the suspect's possible description from an earlier theft that occurred there.
The suspect arrived just before noon. A detective observed the suspect, 39-year-old Jason Quintanilla, of Florida, purchase several electrical generators with a counterfeit check for $7,665.51. After the suspect completed the transaction and loaded the generators into his vehicle, he was taken into custody by undercover officers waiting in the parking lot of Trigreen.

Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.
Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.
There's no word yet on who won.
A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.
The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
