The Titans have fired Offensive Coordinator Chris Palmer. Head Coach Mike Munchak said the team needed a change in direction. Some Titans fans have been asking for change and now they've got it. With the Titans at 4-7 and their playoff hopes slim, they're hoping that a change off the field will give them an offensive spark. The Titans have the 24th ranked offense in the NFL and that's led to the coaching switch. Palmer was replaced by Dowell Loggains, who has served as the Titans Quarterbacks Coach in recent years. The switch comes with 5 games left in the regular season. Head Coach Mike Munchak issued a statement:
"I have a great deal of respect for Chris Palmer as a coach and that was the reason I brought him here. I appreciate the time and effort he put in here and I want to wish him and his family the best moving forward. As an offense, I didn't feel like we were progressing the way that I had hoped. I believe we needed a change in direction and I hope to see that progress in our remaining games. Dowell has worked here for a number of years under some very successful coordinators and he is ready for this challenge."
So who is Dowell Loggains? He was the Titans Quarterback Coach for the last 3 years, getting some of the best seasons out of Kerry Collins and Vince Young. He was also the Offensive Quality Control Coach for 2 seasons. Before that, he was the University of Arkansas Quarterback. The Titans have their work cut out for them. Pharmacist admits misbranding dialysis drugs

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- A Tennessee pharmacist has admitted distributing a misbranded Chinese-made drug that was given to kidney dialysis patients in Kansas.
The U.S. Attorney's office says 53-year-old Robert Harshbarger Jr., of Kingsport, Tenn., pleaded guilty Tuesday in Topeka to one count each of distributing a misbranded drug and health care fraud.
Harshbarger admitted that from 2004 to 2009, he substituted a cheaper Chinese import for an iron sucrose drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The drugs were given to patients of Kansas Dialysis Services. Prosecutors say there were no reports of harm, but patients were put at risk because the FDA could not assure the drugs' effectiveness and safety.
Harshbarger's plea deal calls for four years in prison, restitution of nearly $849,000 and a forfeiture of $425,000.
