WBFF Fox 45 :: Nashville Woman Arrested After Police Find Crack Cocaine in Child's Lunchbox
Officers arrested Briana Wilkins, 20, of Nashville, on Tuesday afternoon after finding crack cocaine in her child's lunchbox.
Metro Police responded to 1029 Capital Point in response to a burglary in progress and found the back door kicked in. According to police records, while clearing the kitchen to make sure no suspects were in the residence or anyone hurt, an officer observed a set of digital scales with white residue on them, as well as a glass beaker with residue.
A further search was conducted after getting a warrant, and officers discovered two baggies of almost 17 grams of drugs in a lunchbox that tested positive for cocaine base.
Wilkins admitted to police that she knew crack cocaine was being cooked in her apartment around her 1-year-old child. She is being held on $75,000 bond for manufacturing and possession with intent to sell cocaine and child endangerment.Nashville Woman Arrested After Police Find Crack Cocaine in Child's Lunchbox

Miss. chooses new firm to run Woodville prison
May 18, 2013 20:50 GMT

WOODVILLE, Miss. (AP) -- Mississippi officials have picked a new company to run the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility.

Utah-based Management and Training Corp. announced Friday that the Mississippi Department of Corrections has chosen it to run the 1,000-bed prison starting July 1, the Natchez Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/10MvOGv).

Corrections Corporation of America, based in Nashville, Tenn., had run the prison since 1998. MTC says it will keep "the vast majority" of employees.

MTC will get a five-year contract to run the prison with two one-year options. Last year, officials chose MTC to take over East Mississippi Correctional Facility, the Walnut Grove Correctional Facility and the Marshall County Correctional Facility from the GEO Group. MTC won 10-year contracts for each.

CCA still runs the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility and the Adams County Correctional Center in Mississippi.
