Parking Spot Fight Ends In Danger - Sky Arnold
A teenage college student is recovering after a dangerous fight over a parking spot.
Authorities say it started Wednesday morning when 17 year old Ashley Ramsay pulled into a MTSU parking spot the same time as 19 year old Starlett Custer was trying to get in.
MTSU Police Chief Buddy Peaster says the two started fighting and Custer pulled out some type of blade and cut the younger student in the face, shoulder and arm.
Ramsay's injuries are not expected to be life threatening though police say she may need plastic surgery.
"It does seem to be a case where a student was frustrated with the situation then made a bad decision," said Peaster.
A story a woman who says she's Custer's mother says isn't true.
"We have cooperated with them every way possible...for them to say that she had a weapon and she cut her up that's not true."
Starlett Custer is out of jail on a $10 thousand dollar bond.
