West Nashville Woman Charged with Animal Cruelty - Erika Kurre
More than 60 animals were rescued from a home where Metro Animal Control officers say a woman was hoarding pets.
21 dogs, 32 cats and 11 birds were taken from the small house Monday.
Health department officials say the conditions were deplorable inside.
Many of the animals found were covered in feces and urine, malnourished and some were extremely ill.
The homeowner, Carolyn Bauer, believes she's done nothing wrong.
