Double Shootings Keep Metro Police Busy

Metro police are searching for two suspects involved in two separate shootings Thursday morning.

The first suspect police are looking for was involved in a shooting that sent a 19-year-old man to the hospital.

Officials say the shooting happened around midnight at the Berkley Hills Apartments located on Berkley Drive in Madison.

Investigators say the victim hit another man in the head with a beer bottle during an altercation. When the teen tried to run away from the scene he was shot in the back.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Metro police are also looking for a shooting suspect in east Nashville.

The shooting occurred in the six hundred block of South 7th Street and Sylvan Street around 1:30 a.m.

Shortly before 2 a.m., investigators say two men were involved in a verbal argument that turned violent.

The suspect fled the scene after shooting the victim.

The victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries.
