Robertson County Adopts New Calling System - Heather Jensen
Parents of Robertson county students could soon be getting a call from an automated system.
This is the first year the district is using "school-reach".
It's a web-based parent-notification system that uses phone, email, and even text messaging.
The idea is to keep parents in the loop, especially when there are time-sensitive events.
The school-reach system can make 500,000 phone calls and deliver 200,000 text messages in just one hour.
