Two Kentucky Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan Identified

Two Fort Campbell, Ky., soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan have been identified by the Department of Defense.

According to a release from the department, Spc. Jeremy R. Gullett and Staff Sgt. Kevin C. Roberts died on May 7, when their vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan's Sabari District.

Gullett, 22, of Greenup, Ky., was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, which straddles the western Kentucky-Tennessee border.

Roberts, 25, of Farmington, N. M., was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
