Terry Wayne Dennis is man a with a long and violent criminal history.
The TBI says he'd only been out of prison for a few months when he allegedly turned on his own wife, Jenny, (her full name is Mary Virginia Saal) in a fit of rage.


Kristin Helm says: "He severly beat her in the head, the face, the body and ended up choking her and literally picking her up off the ground and slamming her head into dry wall. Wouldn't let her make a phone call. She was later taken to the hospital by a friend."

That happened at Dennis' brother's house in Kingston Springs and resulted in the second degree attempted murder charge he is now wanted for.
Turns out, it's just the latest in a series of violent episodes dennis has been involved in.
In 1999 he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for his role in a fatal beating on 3rd Avenue South in Nashville.

"He seems to have a lot of anger issues. He doesn't seem to shoot people or use weapons, he actually likes to physically put his hands on people."

Investigators believe Dennis is hiding out in middle Tennessee -- specifically Kingston Springs, Peagram or Nashville.
