WZTV FOX 17 - Tennessee Mornings
Sunday made for some scary moments on the road for one local woman who was involved in a dangerous chase with her estranged husband.
Barnsdale Carter is accused of violating a restraining order for the fourth time since the paperwork was filed last year.
The most recent incident happened Sunday. According to reports, Carter allegedly followed his wife from one of her rental properties. He was driving behind her in his car on Old Hickory Boulevard when he intentionally swerved into her lane and tried running her off the road.
Carter's wife drove into a ditch to avoid an accident. She was able to pull over to safety at a nearby gas station.
Carter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and violation of a restraining order.
