WZTV FOX 17 - Tennessee Mornings
While it hasn't been officially released, McCready posted a YouTube video of "I'll See You Yesterday" with a tribute video to her boyfriend David Wilson, who died a month before at the same Arkansas home.
McCready first heard Dashe perform the song at a writer's night at Hotel Indigo years earlier and wanted to record it. McCready and Dashe wrote together several times after that, but "I'll See You Yesterday" was never released.
Dashe finally heard McCready singing her song on the YouTube video on Saturday. The next day, she learned of McCready's death.
Dashe wrote the song out of a place of hope, and moving on from a failed relationship. She hopes now it will serve as a song of hope for people struggling with depression or contemplating suicide.
Tuesday, Dashe joined Tennessee Mornings to perform "I'll See You Yesterday".
