Lathon drove herself a few blocks away to Baptist Hospital after being
robbed and then shot in the left arm at a well-lit Bank of America
drive-thru at 17th Ave. N. and Church St. at around midnight, according
to Metro Police. She has since been treated and released from the
hospital. Police say that she complied with the robbers request for
money while she was in her car, but the male suspect shot her anyway. He
fled the scene. Police are investigating and reviewing surveillance video from the bank. Lathon is a veteran reporter who's been with FOX 17 News since 2000.
