Nothing says a country Christmas like stories from the Bible, sing along songs, a fiddle and Charlie Daniels.
The country legend has released another holiday album to help get you in the Christmas spirit.
Fox 17 Entertainment Reporter Stacy McCloud sat down with him to chat about what makes this album so special
"It has a lot of standards, like chestnuts roasting which is my all time fave secular Christmas song. It has joy to the world, just a lot of very recognizable Christmas tunes" says Charlie Daniels.
Daniels is spreading holiday cheer through his new Christmas album, "Hallelujah It's Christmas Time Again".
Daniels recorded 13 songs, mostly classics from Christmas albums he's done in the past.
"We do Little Town of Bethlehem, White Christmas, Blue Christmas, heck if there was a yellow Christmas we would do that too" laughs Daniels.
Mixed in with the familiar songs you will also hear Daniels narrating "A Carolina Christmas Carol", which is a story he wrote several years back. He also narrates the Christmas story from the book of Luke, both of which he reads to his own family every Christmas Eve.
"Can you imagine being a shepherd and finding out? These were the humblest of people. Angels came down, can you imagine that" asks Daniels.
You can't purchase the album just anywhere. Daniels teamed up with Buffet's Incorporated, who will sell it at places like Ryans and donate proceeds to a cause close to Daniels heart.
"They wanted to do this because wanted to donate to armed services ymca program, which is a wonderful program that does a lot for deployed families and then them when they are home" says Daniels.
Daniels is strong in his faith. So for him, doing albums like these go hand and hand with the holiday season.
"Above everything else I want people to remember that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus the Savior of man kind" says Daniels
