The majority of the about 400 participants in Nashville's Beard Bash for
No Shave November are affiliated with music row or country radio. Music
Row is always competitive, but they are even more so for the month of
November, but instead of fighting over the top spot on the country
charts, they are all trying to grow the best beards and raise the most
money for st. Jude"
"Watching last few days, labels fighting
against each other, throwing a few more bucks in , for this amazing
cause it's pretty cool" says Warner Music Group President/CEO John
Esposito
Men from all over Nashville have been growing out their facial hair for exactly one month now.
"I keep hearing I look distinguished . I think that means I'm the old man in the sea" laughs Esposito.
Some joked about their strategy.
"Mane and tail shampoo" says Damon Moberly.
Others were surprised at what grew!
"I do have a bald spot I am m proud of. Thankfully it's here and not here" says Paul Williams.
"Well, I can't grow the top of my head, but my face is well, yeah" says Brian Bowling.
The majority of these guys can only think about one thing, shaving it all off.
"I hate it okay, let's be clear" says Esposito.
"First
two weeks were fine, third I wanted to carry a wire brush around
because it was alive, last week was okay but as soon as I get home
tonight, gone" says Craig Campbell.
"A lot of people that are
married that are part of our group said it's a no touch November because
no one will, umm yeah, you know"
For 30 days they've
suffered and finally the night has come. Brian Bowling won beard of the
year here at the beard bash last year.
But had to pass the trophy along to Universal Musics Damon Moberly.
There were plenty of other uniquely named awards handed out, including
groomsmen for the most groomed beard, no shame november for the person
that posted the most on social media, and of course the fund razor and
whisker reward for those that raised the most money.
Team Thompson Square took that top spot and at only one-thousand dollars less Team Casey James came in second.
But win or lose, Music Row united ,putting down their razors and picking up roughly 125 thousand dollars for St. Jude!
"They put their guns down for a month and come together for a great cause" says Campbell

Shave November has also been going on in Stacy's house! Her husband has
