NASHVILLE, Tenn. - This will get your mouth watering: IHOP is giving out FREE pancakes February 5. Over 1500 IHOP's are participating. Restaurants are open from 7am-10pm. Guests can make a voluntary donation which goes to the Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
Monday is MLK Day, and author Michelle Alexander delivers the FREE keynote speech at an MLK event at her alma mater, Vanderbilt. The talk starts at 6:30pm at Langford Auditorium. Her book, "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness", won her the 2011 NAACP Image Award.
If you have a legal issue, but can't afford an attorney, you can get help Saturday, January 26 at the McHugh Clinic starting at 9am. It's at 300 Deadrick Street in Nashville. Pro bono attorneys will help you with civil cases such as domestic situations and financial disputes.
