Saving You Money
It's a strategy where you buy things at what would seem to be the wrong
time of year. That means now's the perfect time to buy swim suits,
sandals, shorts and more. I've been in lots of stores this week
getting stocked up for next summer. You can get up to 75% off summer
wear. Stores like K-Mart are practically giving it away. While coats,
boots and sweaters may be on your radar, that's a mindset we all need to
flip flop to save the most.
Erin Gattis with KMart in
Donelson says, "We'll usually start off with maybe a 50% off and then as
the season progresses we'll increase those discounts try to get that
merchandise to move out to try to make room for new merchandise."
Mom,
Latecia Waters, of Hermitage tries to shop off season as often as
possible. "I've got 3 kids. I've got to save some money some kind of
way because gas is still going up so if I can save it on clothes that's
what I'm going to do."
The end of summer also brings deep
discounts on air conditioners, grills and lawn equipment. Off season
shopping requires patience because you end up putting your bargains away
for use next year.
However it's well worth the wait.
