We're SAVING YOU MONEY on car seats, bicycles and clothes. The Southeast's largest consignment sale starts tomorrow in Franklin and it goes on 8 straight days! Hard to believe Connie Hasty started this annual consignment sale in her garage 20 years ago.
"It's crazy. God's just blessed and that's what it is it's a blessing for all these families. I mean it's a great income for us part ime, for us as moms," says Hasty. "but it helps all these families stretch their money."
Since then, Encores & More has outgrown one facility after another. The sale fills 5000 square feet. To give you an idea of how much stuff is there, it's a former Big Lots store and it's packed from wall to wall. It now features over 80,000 items including toys, toys and more toys. Volunteers like Christina Hancock get to shop early, getting the pick of the crop, because they've put in some free labor setting up.
"I'm excited about this actually," says Hancock. "Whole set of Baby Einstein DVD's for $10."
The week-long sale starts Saturday at 1pm. By Thursday everything will be 25% off. What's left is half price by Saturday. That former Big Lots building where the sale is located is at 1203 Murfreesboro Road in Franklin, right behind McDonald's.
