Go Green Middle Tennessee!

I'm Saving You Money with a new twist on buying in bulk. Any time you can get a lot for a little, it's the way to go. Now there's a way to get a lot for even less. To put the cost of bottled water in perspective, we have to start at the pump. We all gripe about the rising cost of a gallon of gas, but buy individual bottles of water equaling a gallon and it will cost three to four times that. Jessica Stock, a customer of The Green Wagon says, "It's only 55 cents a gallon." She's a nursing student and buys her water at this East Nashville general store specializing in locally made, natural products. She says, "It saves you a lot more than bottled water."
What's more? This is ionized water with a raised alkaline level proven to work as an antioxident.
Sam Ramage, Owner of The Green Wagon says, "You fill your container up from the main spigot here. I think the prices are all over the map.
Certain gyms and other health food places and cafes will sell small amounts of high alkaline water for $3-$4 dollars.
Plus, water isn't the only thing you can buy. There's a filling station for everything from wood floor cleaner to granite and tile cleaner to something to scrub down the shower. Ramage explains, "Take a good old fashioned funnel. Put it up here and we refill your bottle."
Products are priced by the ounce, some as low as 18 cents. It's all the brainchild of Jennifer Casalle, the owner of a real green wagon that runs on vegetable oil. She's out of the country working on a book and spoke to Stay Case by Skype. "If you use the filling station for several products I would say you could save a couple hundred dollars probably if you were using the laundry detergent and the dish soap and things like that. "
Stacy reacts, "That's not chump change." Jennifer says, "No, it's not it adds up."
Casale got the idea when she was running all over town trying to find specific locally made products. She decided to put it all under one roof to make it easier for others. Keep up with all my money saving news at Fox17.com, on Facebook and Twitter.
