WZTV Fox 17 :: Several Local Agencies Offer Free Flu Vaccinations
The Flu is making life miserable for many Tennesseans. Tennessee is one five states reporting a large number of flu cases. But now more free vaccinations are available. The State Health Department is giving out free Flu shots in all of its clinics. Also, the Metro Health Department announced it will offer free Flu vaccinations as well. You can go to any of their three clinics from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.Several Local Agencies Offer Free Flu Vaccinations


Flu Signs and Symptoms

According to the Centers for Disease Control, the flu usually comes on suddenly. People who have the flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:

FLU VS. COMMON COLD

Flu Symptoms (more intense than common cold):
- Fever
- Body aches
- Extreme tiredness
- Dry cough are more common and intense
- Chills
- HeadachesCommon

Cold Symptoms: 
- Stuffy/runny nose
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Fever is rare
- Slight body aches
- Mild fatigue
