Woman charged with arson of her family's Hohenwald home earlier this year


The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a 33-year-old woman was charged with setting fire to her home back in May.

According to the TBI, Amanda Brooke Tripp set fire to the home she shared with her stepmom and father on Thomas Avenue in Hohenwald.

At the scene of the fire on May 11, TBI agents determined the cause to be arson.

Tripp was indicted and charged with one count of aggravated arson on Nov. 6. She was taken to the Lewis County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
