      UPDATE: Clay County Schools To Close Friday Due to Budget Issues

      UPDATE: A lawsuit and temporary injunction was filed today in an effort to keep schools open, at least until a chancery court judge meets with administrators on Oct. 19. Next week students are out for fall break.

      The Clay County Sheriff's Office confirms ALL Clay County Schools will close as of 11:59pm Friday night.

      Speaking with FOX 17, the Sheriff's Office official says "budget issues" are to blame.
