Train derails in Nashville

CSX train stalled after car derails (WZTV).

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A single car derailment stalled a CSX freight train today in Nashville comprising of five locomotives and 171 rail cars.

CSX says the derailment occurred around noon on Saturday around Church St. and 10th Avenue North. They say no injuries occurred.

The car that derailed was empty, as were others. The train, headed to Memphis from Nashville, carried grain, food products and automobiles.

The train remained stalled through the afternoon, but crews were working to re-rail the car and move it as soon as they can.

CSX apologized for any inconvenience regarding this incident.
