Teen injured during drive-by shooting in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
A teenager has been hospitalized after being shot during a drive-by shooting in Nashville.
Metro Nashville Police tell local media the shooting happened late Thursday night in the Madison neighborhood. The 18-year-old victim was talking to someone in the street when a silver Impala pulled up and someone inside opened fire. The victim was hit in the stomach.
The teen ran into a family member's home nearby and called police.
Police say the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and that his injuries aren't life-threatening.
Authorities haven't released a description of the shooter.
