TBI wraps up investigation into Jocques Clemmons shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has wrapped up its investigation into the deadly shooting of Jocques Clemmons by Metro Police officer Josh Lippert.
TBI said it wrapped up the investigation on Wednesday and it has been handed over to District Attorney General Glenn Funk's office fore review.
Funk said the report will not be released on Wednesday, but the office will" determine the next steps in the case." Funk's office will review the report and determine if criminal charges will be filed in the case.
Clemmons was shot to death in February. In an MNPD report, police said the shooting happened after Lippert saw Clemmons running a stop sign near Cayce Homes and an altercation ensued.
