Tad Cummins now in federal custody
SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. (WZTV) —
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--AMBER Alert suspect Tad Cummins in now in federal custody.
Cummins was set to be arraigned in Siskiyou County at 10 a.m. PST Friday regarding charges in the kidnapping case of Elizabeth Thomas. That arraignment never happened.
FBI agents stepped in with a federal warrant that supersedes and state charges. Cummins will instead be arraigned in a Sacramento, California court per the U.S. District Attorney's Office.
FBI will start Cummins extradition process.
