Suspect in market armed robbery, kidnapping of customers wanted in Montgomery County
Clarksville, Tenn.--The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is asking for your help locating two men wanted for the armed robbery of the Excell Market and kidnapping of customers.
According to the MCSO, the robbery took place on July 1st at 8:40 p.m. when two armed, masked men entered the market and demanded employees place money from the register and safe into a garbage bag.
There were six customers in the store at the time of the robbery. Police say one customer had a gun held to his head and was forced to the ground. Four other customers were forced into a bathroom. A sixth customer in the parking lot was forced into the store as the thieves fled.
In total, the two men escaped with $7,437 in cash, $4,255 in checks and credit card receipts, $660 taken from the customers, cell phones, and eight boxes of cigarettes.
One of the men has been taken into custody for the crime but his alleged co-conspirator is still on the loose.
Police are searching for James Lucas Lame Williams (20) for charges of aggravated robbery, five counts kidnapping, possession of a firearm, and aggravated assault.
Antonio Deshaun Grooms (20) is the suspect who was arrested on Wednesday for the crime.
