Station Camp Creek area hit hard with Flash Flooding

The Station Camp Creek in Hendersonville and Gallatin was hit hard by flash flooding on Friday morning.

Fox 17 News Digital Manager Adrian Mojica surveyed the area once the water had started to recede.

The National Weather Service said up to 7 inches fell in Sumner County.

Long Hollow Gardens was trying to salvage what they could, but flood waters covered much of the property.

Three Sumner County school buses became trapped in the waters. All students were reportedly safe.

Sumner County schools asked Station Camp High students to remove their cars to a high location on the campus. The Bison Trail and all of the football, and baseball fields are closed.

Here's a list of flooded roads in the county:

  • Garrison Branch Road
  • Buck perry Road
  • Campbell Hollow Road
  • Lower Station Camp
  • Bugg Hollow Rd.
  • Hogans Branch Road

Roads were closed in the Station Camp High School area. Police are expanding the safety perimeter by Station Camp High because floodwaters are expanding as more runs down.
